Well the article hits it on the head when they say Canada has no manufacturing capacity. We’ve outsourced more and more of our manufacturing in decades past and are nearly completely dependent on foreign trade for everything we have. Now we’ve been caught with our pants down. This isn’t only the fault of the current administration or its particular political tribe; it’s every administration that’s come to pass that’s prioritized global trade over domestic capabilities as well as corporations that have been allowed to inconsequentially outsource their manufacturing, seeking higher profits by exploiting 3rd world countries with lower wages and quality of life than ours. We're failing because (1) Our leaders were naïve and hopelessly underprepared for COVID; we don't have the capacity to manufacture a vaccine.
