It is crisis schooling, not home education, so no wonder it is burning out parents and students at such a phenomenal rate. Perhaps a crazy idea, but maybe the fed should pay a stipend ( at the very least) to the at-home parent who is being forced to endure this madness of trying to channel institutionalized schooling through their homes? That might help out a tiny bit. Charles Gaskell They have not wanted to consult homeschool families because, as the ranter below suggests, they think we're all nuts and have no clue what we're doing. When lockdown happened, not much changed for us. It wasn't until more recently that we have begun to get a little more ansy about getting out with extracurriculars and meeting with friends, but for the most part, we already had our curriculum going and last spring we were done early because the outside electives and sports had been cut.
