We looked at a holiday on jet2 on Sunday and by Monday morning it had gone up by £600! Checked again this morning and it's nearly 1000! Holiday companies are taking advantage of the situation to line their own pockets. The Zombies ate my pancreas shirt surge in bookings & searches yesterday has sent prices skyrocketing. They are not some guy sitting behind a desk going saying, “Right that’s it, I’m slapping an extra £400 on Sue’s holiday to Malaga’. Look I know it sucks for all those stranded, lost their holidays and those finding themselves out of jobs etc but why should companies not take advantage? You only get the cheap last minute deals as companies can’t fill the places and it’s better to sell cheap than not at all.
