Andrastes Hare I was just joining in a discussion in a friendly way as I have an interest. I work for an organisation that deals with both stray & feral cats. No ‘nit picking’ intended. I’m not sure why it always has to turn nasty, should have known better I guess. Andrastes Hare you can nit pick all you like, but you don't know better than the dictionary definition ...words can correctly be used in more than one way. A child can be described as feral, as in behaviour of a wild nature. The use of feral here, where a house cat either does or doesn't behave like a wild animal is fine.
